Helping Careys hear what clients really think
Understanding the relationship beyond the project
Careys wanted to deepen relationships with key clients and understand how they really felt about collaboration, delivery and future opportunities.
The brief went beyond a standard project review. Careys wanted to uncover useful insight that could shape future work, identify any issues early, and strengthen its position as a trusted contractor and long-term partner.
Creating space for open and useful feedback
Working as an extension of the Careys team, we developed and led a series of in-depth client interviews.
We created the research framework, shaped the interview questions, spoke directly with senior client contacts, and analysed the findings.
Each conversation explored performance against key areas including cost, quality, programme, sustainability and communication. But the interviews also looked ahead, opening up discussions around innovation, alignment and future collaboration.
Because the conversations were led independently, clients were able to speak openly. That gave Careys a clearer view of client sentiment and a set of practical insights for its leadership and business development teams.
Turning feedback into stronger partnerships
The interviews gave Careys a richer and more accurate picture of how clients see the business.
They highlighted clear strengths around quality, safety and trust, while also identifying opportunities to improve communication and increase visibility around strategic initiatives.
Several conversations also uncovered new opportunities for collaboration and helped resolve emerging issues before they escalated. The process encouraged more open, problem-solving dialogue between Careys and its clients, creating space to rebuild relationships and reaffirm Careys’ position as a trusted, quality-driven contractor.
As one client put it:
“Careys, for me, is synonymous with a really quality outfit. The service is there, the safety aspect is there, you can trust them. In an area where so much can go wrong, they never cut corners.”
Another reflected:
“We’ve always seen Careys as a contractor of choice. There’s real opportunity now to rebuild those human connections and strengthen the partnership for the future.”
And in recognition of Careys’ commitment to site safety and delivery, one senior contact described the business as:
“the gold standard within their trade environment, the best as far as we’re concerned.”
